14 year old French Matheo Douessy delivers exceptional performance

One month away from the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open, the young French Matheo Douessy, at 14 years old, clinched the last ticket for the PRO-AM, with an impressive score of 43 points.

Gathered for this ultimate qualifying round, over 50 golfers competed on the Anahita course. At the end of this competition, Matheo Douessy won ahead of Trevor Ridley who finished with a score of 38 points. Behind him, Francine Delloye completed the podium with 36 points, winning at the same time the first place in the women category.

Endorsed by the Sunshine Tour, the European Tour and the Asian Tour, the AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open 2017 tournament will have an expanded field of 156 professionals this year. An exciting field of young professionals have confirmed their participation in this € 1 million tournament that will take place at the Heritage Golf Club from November 30 to December 3. Asian Tour stars Shiv Sankar Prasad Chawrasia of India and Scott Hend of Australia have also confirmed their places in the tournament. Hend, 14-time winner during his career, joins on the green the 2010 Open champion, Louis Oosthuizen, the rising French star Romain Langasque, and the European Tour winners, Brandon Stone, George Coetzee and Dylan Frittelli. As a reminder, the scores obtained will count for the Individual Order of Merits of the Tours, including the Dubai Race and the Official World Golf Ranking.
